That is a serious question I want you to ask yourself.
Most people do not ask themselves this question or think about it.
But in reality, there are a lot of reasons why you should like yourself.
Most people spend so much time thinking of all the reasons they do not like themselves, that they never stop to think of all the reasons they should like themselves and be proud of themselves.
I want you to start thinking about all the reasons why you should like yourself.
And I want you to think of all the small reasons. There may be big reasons to like yourself, such as you found a job, or you have talents like the ability to play the guitar, or that you can run a 5 kilometre marathon. There are big reasons to like yourself, and it is good to remind yourself of those reasons. But you also should think about all the small reasons to like yourself. It is not just the big reasons to like yourself, but also the little reasons.
There are plenty of little reasons why you should like yourself, but most people do not think of these reasons.
Some people are quick to think of the reasons why they should NOT like themselves. Any small reason not to like themselves will be enough for them.
If they make a joke that nobody laughs at, they feel bad and don’t like themselves.
If they say something stupid in front of others, they feel bad and don’t like themselves.
If they accidentally wear the same jacket twice at parties, they feel bad and don’t like themselves.
If they send someone a text message and don’t get a reply, they feel bad and don’t like themselves.
If you are so quick to find small reasons to not like yourself and feel bad, why not be so quick to find small reasons to like yourself and feel good?
Why not like yourself for the fact your shoes match your pants?
Why not like yourself for the fact you woke up early enough today to make breakfast?
Why not like yourself for the fact you were at a party and nobody talked to you, but you were confident enough to not be affected by it?
Why not like yourself for the fact that you are able to read?
Why not like yourself for all the little things as well?
Turn your mind around so it does a complete 180 turn.
Instead of finding all the little reasons not to like yourself, find all the little reasons to like yourself.
Your mind clearly has the ability to attach meaning to all the little events that occur.
Instead of letting your mind find the little negative events and add negative meaning, why not let your mind find the little positive events and add positive meaning to it?
Turn your mind around. Use its natural ability to take little events and attach little meaning to it, and use it to find little positive events and attach positive meaning to it. Your mind is already capable of doing it, you just need to apply it.
Why do you like yourself? There a million positive little reasons why you should like yourself. And your mind has the ability to use those little reasons to like yourself. You just have to turn your mind around and start using it correctly.
